Currently own/operate a 3 story commercial building and am trying to interpret the fire code for quezon city.
Doing a reno, and am pressured to add another stair case for a fire exit.
When I visit other commercial buildings in the area, I notice that many 2nd or 3rd floor units only have 1 exit, and no fire exit or fire escape. Some have fire suppression with sprinklers and some do not.
My understanding is that based off occupancy, requirements can change based off number of fire exits, distance to them and whether or not you need fire suppression.
Does anyone have a good summary of these provisions for quezon city.
