I have a lease contract for a five year period.
The agent is requesting 1 months rental as commission for the first year and then one months rental at the completion of each succeeding year. This seems excessive, I would have thought that just one months commission would be appropriate. We did initially engage the agent to sell the property but settled on a five year lease, so technically did not perform what we originally signed for. However they did secure a lease contract. Thoughts please on their commission, what should we pay, they are not managing the property.
